WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE (other than being on stage)
Well......There is the set to be built and the lights to be set and programmed, sound-effects to be cut, there is the costumes and make-up, the prompter and the backstage crew, the front of house team and lets not forget the people who make the programme, design the posters, get the tickets printed, hang up the posters, give radio interviews, send out text message reminders, hand out leaflets at the church gates, get the big signs put up at the entrance to the town.Pheeeew!!! There are people who organise meetings and look after the finances. We also have a booking office located in the convenient location at Berney's chemist. Many rehearsals and the odd cup of tea and someone who never forgets the sandwiches....
the lonely job in the lighting box following every word for the right cue |
You can see that this Drama Group business sounds rather energetic. And I haven't even mentioned the actors or the director! It is exactly because members understand that everybody has to contribute whether they have a major role or not, that this train has been steam-rolling ahead for all these years.
However some members ( note - only some!) are getting older and it is felt that we would really need to have fresh blood to keep the show on the road.
WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR ACTORS AND DIRECTORS!
